Canvas Art

Even though you will have to check the Rembrandt’s and Da Vinci’s pieces somewhere else, you can enjoy a dose of art at the 16th Tattoo Session Silesia as well.

Various talented painters and photographers will let you peek into their studios and works; each of them with a different point of view on the world, own techniques and attitude. Who can we then be looking forward to?

Let’s briefly introduce everyone.

LA PAPULA

A painter and a tattoo artist ”La Papula” has been creating her works inspired by ethnic diversity with her black paintings being absolutely iconic. As she says: “I was not born with a talent at all. I had to work hard and earn it.”

She was born in Jihlava in 1992 and has been drawing since childhood. Since 2011, she has been painting and working in Prague and Jihlava. Her domain is mostly hyper-realistic paintings, with the ”La Papula” pseudonym pieces decorating cafes, even the Senate of the Czech Republic. Her collection of the Czech underground personalities portriats is definitely worth mentioning as well. She participates in various charity events and can be seen not only as Tattoo competitions juror, but with charcoal in her hand while creating a picture as part of the Art Exhibition as well.

More about La Papula’s work can be found HERE.

She not only paints but takes photos as well. Her paintings and the works she has been creating are literally breathtaking. She works in Ostrava (however shortly about to move to Prague), participated numerous exhibitions, coaches individual courses and in general – you definitely cannot miss her exhibition of paintings.

IVET KRENKOVA

Ivet is a photographer. What did she reveal about herself on her website?

“When I was a small kid, I have written to my diary that I wanted be a journalist. I did not have much writing skills and working as a journalist really scared me. The main reson for the decision was completely different though – I wanted to interview my favourite bands and meet them in person. When the time to go to the University came, I really applied to study Journalism and graduated successfully. Finally, I ended up shooting bands anyway.”
